yeah you guys have some very good points. and actually i always thought it be dumb to turbo a sohc but from the info i found i was just suprised to see the numbers, as for a KA reaching 200 i heard its actually kinda simple. but its almost like somethings get over rated... example small blocks can produce just as much hp an torque as a big block whos to say a KA cant produce the same as a highly liked sr.. basically from what i found the sr is popular because its cheap an parts are cheap. If there was something else just as cheap and as good that motor would be popular as well..
and its alright about the shop *****ing, it happens but *****ing about a shop because someone swears by them isnt a bad thing, they just overally show there compassion for the place... and why not since people overally show compassion for there cars or cars ingeneral on the forum.
mmmm hot pockets =)

Youre stating the obvious here. Nobody is saying its physically impossible to build a KA that can produce numbers similar to an SR, theyre just saying its dumb and a waste of money. Of course the SR is popular due to price and parts being so readily available, so if there was another motor exactly like it, why wouldnt that one be popular as well? Thats just common sense.
I wasnt *****ing about or bashing Pride, please quote my post and show me the part where I badmouthed Pride AT ALL. *waits*, You cant. All I asked was why Mete -promoted- them so hard. Simple question that was asked and answered, end of story.

options.
If you want to be different then cool, but there's a smarter way to be different than taking the harder route.
Ka's have very little aftermarket support. There's a reason why AMS even discountinued their KA turbo manifolds.
Are there companies out there that you can dig through and find that make products?- yes absolutley.
Most of the forum "techs" don't know half the **** they are talking about, half of them don't work on their own cars, most of them justify the KA because they can't really afford much else.
What YOU need to do -NissanSweety- is log on and make an account with nico club and zilvia.
Search : KA vs. SR
and see the differences.
For the price of "building" your KA, you can probably:
Buy a stock turbo SR, have it installed and call it a day.
I have seen many KA gurus try and go this route, almost all but a few fail or are still working on their setups.
As for the shop bickering, I don't mean to sound like a **** but you guys should just stop hijacking this chicks thread and follow the rules.

well in case you didnt know already shortblock = no head, longblock= w/head and sometimes intake manifold.
believe it or not to turbo a kae is fairly easy and have it reliable. i had everything planned out. but decided not to do it since funds are low
